Firsts.

This is obviously my first post, on my first blog. It may be my last. We'll see. My friend Amanda requested I create this blog. Why? Good question. She thinks it might be fun to read my ranting, raving, and revelations. More to the point, I fly out to Regina tomorrow morning at an unearthly hour to film a guest spot on a series. I've never landed in the Prairies before, let alone had to stay there for an entire week. Yup, that's right, I'm freaking out over a week-long stay. I've flown from Toronto to Vancouver many times, and every time I do, I get a certain lump in my throat each time the plane passes over Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta (am I missing one?). One, it seems to take forever to fly past those provinces, and two, every time I look out the window I am amazed at the vast flatness of it all. All that open space overwhelms me a bit. I'm a city boy, used to high-rises limiting my view in any direction. I take some comfort in my limited view; perhaps all those obstacles act as punctuation marks in what could be a horribly monotonous, terrifying run-on sentence of existence. (...What? I have no business writing a blog) Anyway, tomorrow I land in the middle of the Prairies. I may hate it, I may love it, but either way I have to stay for the week and Amanda wants me to write about it. She's pregnant right now, so I give her whatever she wants... for now. I'm off to Regina with a suitcase filled with neutrals.
P.S.   I just read this over, and wow, it's pretty boring. They'll get better, right? My life is exciting, right? Amanda is probably the only one reading this, right?
